SMD assembly
One of a product’s most important production processes is its SMD assembly. Especially in the field of electronics because if the assembly is careless, for example, the wrong part or not assembled correctly, the PCB will not work.
SMD assembly order
HIGHPCB can assemble manually and by machine. By using professional and experienced forces, we try to assemble the parts correctly with standard tools on your PCBs without a wrong connection between the elements and a complete lack of connection. This team, with a history of assembling Dip and SMD parts, has been able to gain the trust of its customers and its ability to cleanly plant components such as capacitors, resistors, etc. (the details should be fixed entirely on his footprint), To show her customers without shift planting of ICs, accurate planting of FPGA ICs and other assembly services. Also, HIGHPCB can accept all types of machine assembly (automatic) orders. In car assembly, we try to deliver excellent work to the customer Because after each stage of assembly, whether by hand or machine, washing is required (of course, machine assembly does not require washing). And then, they are inspected by experienced personnel under the quality control (QC) microscope. Finally, the works are packed in such a way that they do not put pressure on each other inside the box So that the product can be sent from our side to the customer with complete confidence. There is no limit to the number of jobs in machine assembly, and customers who intend to mass produce in the electronics industry choose automatic assembly because it is the best option. But in some cases, even though the circulation of their work is high, customers want to assemble them manually.
What is the reason for the high number of manual assembly orders?
Assuming that there are n number of jobs to be assembled, If they are assembled by hand, it will take two weeks to complete the entire work And if it is assembled by machine, the duration of the work will be, for example, four days Here, customers say that machine assembly is completed ten days earlier than manual assembly, But many of them do not know that to assemble a machine, they must first wait until the project that is being carried out in the automatic assembly line is finished. And then put the new project into the line, which made them use turn-taking in automated assembly. With these interpretations, the work that took four days to assemble may wait for more than four days, one week, two weeks, and even more than two weeks waiting for the line to empty. Of course, in places where machine assembly is done, several machines are used, And several lines are working simultaneously; however, sometimes all the lines are working due to congestion. Also, other things, such as making templates and setup, are among the tasks that make the assembly time longer. These times have caused many customers to choose manual assembly. Another reason that pulls everyone from automatic to manual assembly is the parts and cost of assembly. Because many companies and people who are the project owners have or have bought broken parts (in pieces) and mostly not in rolls, such claims cannot be assembled by machines, so the suitable alternative is (manual assembly) Is.
It can be confidently said that our forces are among the best assemblers because they have very high speed, experience, and high accuracy.
The guarantee of our work is our quality and experience
HIGHPCB gives this guarantee to its customers that if an assembly problem occurs from our side and our forces, such as the incorrect assembly of a part, the failure to assemble one or more components, and the low quality of tin work and assembly, We will retake the position from you at our own expense And after fixing the defects, we will deliver a perfect piece to you. However, we will do our best so that nothing is done again.
What are SMD components?
The parts that are assembled on the board or behind the board are called SMD parts. SMD stands for Surface Mount Device.
It means that the bases of the parts do not pass through the board, And it is placed on the pads on the board or behind it. SMD parts have different sizes. For example, capacitors, resistors, inductors, LEDs, etc., have dimensions 402, 603, 805, 1206, 1210, 2512, etc. Some pieces are not in this size category, And they have sizes that we will not discuss here. The smaller the size of the report, the more sensitive the work and the more precision it needs.
How are SMD components assembled?
With what equipment do they assemble SMD?
The assembly of SMD parts is done both manually and by machine. In the machine method, it can be assembled entirely automatically, and it can be assembled with the help of manual labor. The assembly type depends on the work’s circulation, the desired period for the customer, the costs, and the range itself.
The tools used in manual assembly are
Soldering System 40Watts, Soldering System 60Watts, tin wire, solder oil, Pence, tinsmith, Heater (hot air heater).
These are the main manual assembly tools by which parts are assembled on the board. After the assembly stage, while working with solder oil, the surrounding parts are oiled; the boards are washed with alcohol or thinner so that no oil or dirt is left on the board. After that, the boards are dried with an air compressor, an industrial hair dryer, and quality control (QC). After that, it is packed, and as a result, it is ready to be delivered to the customer.
SMD assembly steps (manual)
In assembling SMD parts such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, and all components with two SMD bases Or parts with more than two SMD bases, such as transistors, regulators, etc. To plant them on the board, we first fix the piece on its footplate, And then we solder one side of it to the pad; we assemble all the parts that are in the same direction in this way, and at the end, we solder them on the other side.
The same method can be used for assembling the IC, only with the difference that the number of IC bases is more than the other parts. For this, we fix the AC on the footprint, And two or three of its bases are tinned with a Soldering System. And after making sure that IC does not shift (The exact print on foot is fixed), We spread the tin on the rest of the IC bases like this, the IC is entirely placed on the board, and all its bases are tinned and connected to the pad below them.
SMD assembly steps (automatic)
In assembling a car, as the name suggests, there is no Soldering System, heater, and other tools, And machines assemble parts. Still, before the assembly process, some actions must be taken so that we can start the automatic assembly.
These actions include
- Prepare a stencil for PCB.
- Components must be purchased in rolls.
- PCBs should be sheeted and not separated from each other.
These points are mentioned again on the board assembly page, And you can read the description of automatic assembly and manual assembly in the same place if you wish; you can fill out the order registration form in less than 5 minutes and send it to us so that we can handle your order more efficiently.
